Richard “Ricky” Wade Faucett, 53, of Carrollton, Texas, and formerly of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2017 after a short battle with cancer.

Ricky graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 1981. He later attended Pitt Community College in Greenville where he acquired his nursing degree. With a huge heart, a generous spirit and a never-met-a-stranger personality, Ricky was born for his profession, as those who knew him would attest.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Faucett, and a son, Christian Faucett.

Ricky leaves behind his husband, Michael Estill; his three children, Hannah Faucett and her husband, Slaton, Nathan Faucet and his wife, Kristen, and Rebecca Faucett and her boyfriend, Ray; his mother, Iris Faucett; his sister, Terry Faucett Crumb and her husband, Jimmy; his niece, Brandi Crumb; and his nephew, Aron Crumb.

Ricky will always be known as someone who loved deeply and be remembered fondly by those whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.

The family will receive friends following the service.
